We provide a safe and structured environment utilizing a small group setting where the student can maximize their learning experience. The fear of being overlooked typically occurs in much larger class sizes, and in schools that focus strictly on the sport aspect of the martial arts.  At the Midwest Academy, we take pride in watching your improve your skills and therefore we make it our business to learn from some of the best in the business.  The curriculum is a week-to-week, year round program that is packed with some of the following:

  • Focus, Balance, Coordination and Awareness skills
  • Mount  - Offensive and Defensive
  • Closed Guard - Offensive and Defensive
  • Leg Lock Aeries
  • Arm Bar Series
  • Clinch Series (Intense!)
  • Pummeling
  • Underhook and Overhook Techniques
  • Evasion Techniques
  • Vale Tudo Guard Passes, and the list goes on.

By employing the above into our curriculum, we become a well-rounded school for the high school and collegiate wrestler looking to advance in their game.  We teach strategy from other systems of Martial Arts taught at the Academy, and we take what we have learned from out teachers and introduce them into our curriculum to add value to your experience.  With 40+ years in the martial arts industry it is not just about kicking and punching, it is about enhancing the lives of every student so they can become confident in themselves, and someday make a valuable contribution in their life, or someone else's.

If you believe that you have the time to train hard, between our Muay Thai and Grappling/Submission program you can advance at your own pace without worrying about what RANK you are, because it has no bearing on the STREET.  Give us a call at get ready for and exciting venture into hard-core fun!

Were On!  Stop procrastinating and join our Academy today and start to build up your ground fighting skills little by little.  We guarantee you won't be sorry.  Just be PATIENT...there is a lot to learn and it takes time.  People who are in a hurry to learn won't perfect their training, and your ground skills will be flawed.
